WHY STUDY WITH US? - 7 KEY POINTS!

Passport School is more of a quality tutor lesson service than a regular school. Students who want to study in a classroom are welcome to, however, we can offer cafe and home lessons service throughout Fukuoka prefecture and from 2005 in other major cities too. How do you choose between so many schools? Ultimately what matters to me and I trust our students too is my belief in the following issues to ensure we offer the best quality English teaching:

•  The credentials and experience of the teacher and an informal fun learning style.
•  Focus on quality of relationships between the teacher and the student and school.
•  Established experience and focus on coaching and delivering students` goals.
•  Internet based, distance-learning course programs now being developed for 2006!
•  Our fees are at the top end of the market as our priority is to serve only small group and private lessons services with the most qualified and able teachers.
•  Communicative management and an educationally trustworthy reputation.

•  Make friends & practise your English in our international exchange events!

For details on curriculum planning and contents, please see relevant pages on the web site for example lesson plans and curriculum syllabus. Soon we will introduce self study home internet curriculum for kids and adults. Please ask Riktam for details on these new projects.

EDUTAINMENT ' - Education or Entertainment?:

‘ When teaching both children and adults, it is a good strategy is to balance education with entertaining lesson-style so students enjoy lesson-time without it becoming too academic. Classes with young people and some adult students prefer an academic course plan and methodology and if that is what they desire, then we will pursue such a style too. Because we focus on being a private lessons and tutorial teacher dispatch service, students who wish to learn fast can benefit from studying at their own pace. Students can make up more practise time with review work at home if they desire but the majority of students study English as a hobby and want most of all to enjoy social, fun lessons as well as improving their English level. This is another reason why the school organises regular social and international events and we encourage teachers and students to participate. Using English in a natural setting is important too.

English study is more like learning a musical instrument than learning a sport It takes years to become fluent. If you are a teacher, then think of your own experience learning Japanese. - how many of us are fluent now? Language study is really an art which one must spend years at developing. As the saying goes, ‘ Practice makes perfect ' .
