Riktam's 2003 triphome to Scotland.

2004/02/29

Hi! Here are some photos from my last trip home to Scotland and my brother's wedding.

My brother Simon got married to Rowena from Australia on midsummer's eve, June 21st when the sun doesn't set till as late as 11pm.

In Scotland, it is traditional at weddings to have a 'ceilidh' which means in Gaelich, "a gathering". with folk music and dance party.
The wedding was on the isle of Iona, a remote island off the west coast of Scotland, which is famous for its beauty and Christian abbey dating over 1500 years old.

As I get older, I miss my family more - all my sibings live so far apart so it needs a special event in order to get us to enjoy a 'gathering'.

Hope you enjoy my photos!
